Roadtrip 2023 Spring: Seaside - Waldport - Bend - Rock Creek Schoolhouse - Richland

Day 7 - Cape Perpetua: Thor's End

The maze like path that winds it's way to Thor's.

Thors is pretty quiet today - but provides a small splash to keep all watchers happy.

Everyone want a go at flushing Thor's Toilet.

Whales!!

Detail from picture above - it's pretty unusual to see them this close to shore.

In case we all forgot - The Rules and Regulations.

The tide pools are full of life and colour.

The US Navy has long experimented with Plant-Based Radar. This experimental radar station has been online since last fall and has successfully detected multiple Russian air incursions for seafood at Newport's Local Ocean fresh counter.

Just strollin' along enjoying the sun as it breaks throught the trees......

...... then what the??? Pacific vortexes? This confuses and confounds me.

The bridge at Waldport with the sandcastles in the distance.

Evening light - receding tide.

So crazy it almost looks deliberately constructed.

The little stair case that just couldn't anymore. Nature is relentless here.

Did someone say log jam?
